Neighbour did a surveyor report and it showed that the side wall of our house (just the first half of it) is only 890mm from the boundary line. I am wondering would this be a huge issue? I will get my own report done but I want to know is there any tolerance with the 900mm min. setback requirement? Can they speak to the certifier and report this and make us not compliant? Stressful! Re: Side wall of house is 10mm too close to boundary line (n 2May 04, 2022 3:14 pm Pretty common situation, don’t stress, surveying is pretty accurate but not to the mm, and might change if different survey marks are used. Sometimes people build 20mm off in built to boundary for this reason. I’m no expert but I assume this is why shops in town have a small gap between them, then the boundary is between them somewhere. I’ve had pretty different surveys on the same property before. In WA zero lot is actually zero lot. We build 10mm in from the boundary.
