Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 25, 2022 1:02 am I have a old brick veneer house in Melbourne, Today I noticed when rain comes, water coming out inside the brick wall just below the window sill(under floor level). Water is coming out near to the subfloor ventilation. ( can see in photos) Window is full size starting from floor level to ceiling. What can cause this leakage ? So I'd suggest checking the tiles directly above and around where the water is seen below. The tile(s) could be touching something - eg insulation - which might mean the rain water being "introduced" and running up inside the tile - then down the inside of the wall. Hope that makes sense - there is an official word for it. Is it - capillary action ?
