I have talked to a few neighbours and also noticed some others have septics with soakage trenches where as others have the sprinkler setup. I would much rather prefer the below ground method as there is less to go wrong etc. I was hoping to hear about any thoughts on this from any knowledgeable people as the soil is h1d due to clay reactivity and the initial civil plan has the sprinkler setup shown with a 300 square metre soakage area which is larger then the house plan which seems excessive. My other question was people's expectations of possible footings costs as the land is pretty much flat with cutting into the site of less then 300mm required across the site but and minimal fill but it is h1d rated. The house is a fraction under 300 square metres. I look forward to any help. Thankyou. Regards. Matt. I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home. We also swapped some rooms around and tackled a major… 2 10841 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12847 That sucks! Hope it all works out.
