I moved to my property last year in Oct and one of the clauses was "Pool and its equipment to be in good working order" Well pretty much none of it was except for a chlorinator purchased in 2020. I had a company provide a comprehensive pool inspection for $600 and gave me a list of things that needed to fix, which the owner declined to assist. So I paid for it all myself - another $600 which included a handover. The handover was incredibly brief, and the fixes included new filter media. Now, 2 months later the sand filter is spewing with water, and the same company want me to pay them to fix it. Should this not have been found either at the inspection or at the maintenance?
I also went to a pool company today and the guy barely even looked at my pictures and said I needed a new filter. I know I dont need a new filter, I have worked with pumps and things like this for a long time, and I feel like these companies are taking advantage of me being single and without help.
If anyone can please (fairly quickly because I can't run my pool pump) recommend anyone who can help it would be so appreciated. Please no wives of a husband/wife business, I want real genuine I've used these guys and they are the real deal recommendation. I don't care how big or small the company is, I just need real honest genuine communication. Cheers.
