Our builders and concreters are talking about the rising expenses/shortages of steel which is causing delays to our project…

Wondering if anyone else is finding this or if there’s any workarounds?

Hey mike0083 Welcome to the forum
Unfortunately there are a few price increases targeted before the elections
Even if you have signed a contract, unless the slabs down you'll have to pay up. (manufacturers and suppliers are cashing in on concrete and steel increases, Supply chain issues, etc ,etc)
The builders will reprice the job before they start and send you a variation for the increases.
Sorry, too late for workarounds
