My advice would be dont make a choice until you can actually get physical samples. Dark matter scientist, can breathe underwater, mind reader and can freeze matter just by willing it. Trust me, its in my sig. Re: How might a gloss finish affect cabinet paint colour? 3Dec 31, 2021 7:35 pm Hi noname, pretty sure we can't get samples on an actual piece of cabinet. I think given the endless colour choices and the work involved in painting two pack gloss this might be tricky for the supplier. We also don't have much time to decide, and with shut-downs etc could be tricky. Have you managed to get samples with 2pac? Anyways, I have a heap of dulux samples, but they are obviously not in gloss, I am assuming the gloss finish won't affect the light colours, but oh well, we shall see! Re: How might a gloss finish affect cabinet paint colour? 4Jan 01, 2022 4:10 pm The colour won't change, it's simply tinter added into a base. The perception of colour may change due to the reflection (or not) of the different finishes. But essentially when viewed from straight on without reflections the colour will look the same regardless of finish. My clients often supply me with a paint swatch from one of the big paint companies that my spray painter then uses to have his paint tinted. I have never had a complaint regardless of the actual finish specified.
