Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 07, 2021 9:34 pm I am building a 2 bedroom granny flat. While doing the roof the contractor left it open and nearly all insulation got wet. It rained for about 4 days. He didn't put any capping. Upon enquiring the contractor told me its common and it will dry out. According to manufacturer the insulation needs to be dried out before covering it with iron roof. The manufacturer also states that if insulation gets wet it will lose some of it heating and cooling capacity therefore it needs to be replaced with the new one. I would say FG Batts would easily dry out and recover, they arrive all squeezed up.
