Firstly I want to say I've learnt a bunch browsing these forums, and apologies in advance if any of my questions are silly or unclear, this is all quite new to me!
I'm currentlly looking at a property with a relatively new, solid looking color bond shed (10x8 gable roof). Unsure of manufacturer/builder and was hoping to make some modifications for it to suit my requirements, as it would be a shame to tear it down and start new - I'm not entirely opposed to this if it's less hassle.
Local shed builders understandably haven't been able to offer much advice and don't seem too keen to take on this sort of work so I was hoping someone may have had experience with this sort of thing and be able to point me in the right direction or at least the type of contractor to engage.
1. Is it feasible (both from a financial and engineering perspective) to convert to a skillion roof for more internal height? I'm sure its not this simple in reality, but I imagine it would just be a case of:
- Extend the existing posts (or replace with longer) on new high side
- Add additional railing/framing
- Flip the angle of the roof panels on new high side for extra height
- Add new panels to fill the gaps created by raising the roof
- Drainage modifications/misc stuff
- Building permit for increased height
2. For reasons unknown, the previous owner decided that a single roller door was enough, is it relatively straight forward to add an additional double width roller door (or even two extra, whatever works) next to it so I have full access to each bay? I expect it would be better to engage a roller door installer rather than a shed builder for this, although doing so would require removal/modification of railing that it would otherwise impede on

Any input is much appreciated,
Cheers!
