This brick pit was partially buried under the front lawn. It does not appear on any sewer/stormwater drawings.
The pit dimensions are roughly 1m x 0.6m x 1m deep. The two t-shaped pipes are hollow at both ends. One goes uphill towards the side of the house, the other goes towards the street-frontage.
I'm guessing it may be an old septic tank, but I'm not too sure. House was built in 1950-1960, in the Warringah Council area.
The nearest stormwater pipe would be 8m+ away, so I'm assuming it has nothing to do with stormwater.
