Current timber wait time

Hello Everyone,

We are building our first home. Whilst it was exciting initially, it is becoming unpleasant experience and downright stressful.

We singed the contract in December 2020 and the land settled in mid April 2021.

The permits were delayed due to the builder taking their time in submitting for approval.

Finally the site started on 27 July.

Slab was poured on August 28.

Since then we have waited for the timber. Whilst we are aware of the situation and general timber shortage, it is the lack of builders aduquate response and inbility to provide an ETA that is making us worried.

Anyone is able to comment on their experience with timber shortage and the time frame they waited?
Waited 12 weeks for mine.

Thanks for the response. 12 weeks is painful. But we are not far off from 12 weeks, I hope we get it by then.
I was in my local Bunnings last week and they didn't have a single stick of 70 x 35 framing timber in stock longer than 900mm.

Does it wipe off? Could be because of dry dirty drips.
