Building outside building envelope

Hi,

Our 88B document outlines the building envelope on our land and also a covenant about a conservation area.

If the Council approve the building of a shed extending out of the building envelope and into the conservation area, I'm assuming that there can't be any hassle in the future?

If the Council do realise later what has happened, we're fine because they have approved the DA which clearly showed the location of the shed?

Thanks.
