Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 29, 2021 3:46 pm Hey everyone, My draftsman and I agreed to him looking after the complete process for a CDC approval for my secondary dwelling. Now that we’re almost at the finish like and I’ve paid 2 of 3 instalments, he has just told me that I need to pay an additional $1200 for construction approval. To my understanding a CDC approval doesn’t require a CC or any other approvals for construction, it should be the complete package. Any advice on what I can do here? Thank you Re: Being charged for a CC when I paid for CDC approval 2Sep 29, 2021 11:44 pm Actually, in some councils in Sydney atleast, work/construction permits are required from council after CDC approval for several reasons. These can range, but ive seen them cost upto 2.5k in some councils. Note that this is separate to council contribution fees, which council will also charge for after approval and must be paid prior to construction if they apply to you. Furthermore, it really wont hurt to ask what specifically was required after your approval.
