Carlisle Tricks

We have seen the recent correspondence from Carlisle stopping private inspections of their builds during the current outbreak. In the last lock down, unlike others Darbecca stopped doing inspections until such time it had approval from the correct government agency. We did not put profit ahead of responsibility and continued to maintain the high standards that we advocate for all. Unfortunately, some including Carlisle disagreed with the formal confirmation and went to the point of unsuccessfully lobbying Government Agency and author of the approval. On receipt of the confirmation Darbecca resumed inspections.

Unfortunately, some simply can’t accept the umpires decision. The date upon which the “approval or similar” document must be dated is after that upon which the above letter was dated. There are no changes in reality to the lockdowns previously or present. So why the prohibition?

Is it from a fear of trades infection or OH&S. Darbecca Site staff are nearly all fully Vaccinated. We have only two site staff that are awaiting the second dose in the upcoming weeks.

In the last lockdown we lost substantial revenue supporting the legislation. We do not just talk the talk. We walk the walk! In my recent travels I have observed on on every Carlisle site that I have driven past, no masks and in a number of occasions more than 7 people on site.

The most telling breach is the multiple trades. On the photos attached, three different companies were on site with 8 people in total. No supervisor. On providing a response when asked why I was taking photos , the only response was abuse.

On another site we were attending with masks on, the SITE MANAGER attended WITHOUT A MASK and demanded we leave the site as it was a covid breach.

I can go on and on providing examples of Carlisle’s non compliance with Covid or its own stated position, but there is little value.

Darbecca does need to have the builder and other trades present for it to complete its tasks, that is a demand by Carlisle. No other builder has made the claims that Carlisle are making or attempting to prohibit Darbecca from assisting YOU the home owner.

Darbecca has DHHS advice. Carlisle has it too. Why hasn’t Carlisle produced a letter contradicting that which they have been provided? Is it because the lobbying did not and cannot change the view expressed in writing.

If you are not happy with what is happening, don’t just tell our staff, tell others. Is that not what social media is about, the sharing of information?
