Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 12, 2021 9:21 pm Hi everyone, Bought a PVC charcoal fence to screw into my existing colour bond fence to give it some extra height. Im unsure what screws i should be using to screw it into the metal fence. Will be outside and the screw will need to be black/charcoal. Does anyone have some suggestions, big novice around this stuff. Thanks Re: Screw Help PVC into metal colourbond fence 2Sep 13, 2021 10:32 am Gipdip Does anyone have some suggestions… Will this PVC fencing material go from the ground and extend above the exisiting height. If so, self-tapping sheet metal screws with a hex head should do the trick to hold the PVC fence in place. However, if the bottom of the PVC fencing material starts up higher and you just want to extend the current fence height, you might need to fix battens first if the weight of the PVC fence is substantial. In that case, you might need to use different fixings. Photos would be helpful to explain what you are trying to achieve.
