I saw dark particles being produced by abrasion actions of the wire-brush, and I used running water to rinse it away. - As a result, area I worked on look like DARK STAIN. The best way to deal with under exposure is sand blasting. It may fix the area you have polished with the wire brush. And there is no more under-exposed area anymore, as they had been dealt with my wire brush wheels. My guess is to find a way to brighten white pebbles in the affected area, which were stained by the wire brush wheels.
