Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 31, 2021 7:39 pm Gday all, I am currently building a decking at the back and am stuck with what to do around the window sill (see photo). Finished level of the deck will be at the floor level of the house, although the window sill is slightly higher and the sill bricks are getting in the way of the joist/ decking boards. One option is to cut the brick back and have the deck flush with the wall. The second option would be to remove the bricks and have the joist extending into the the cavity, although unsure about how to flash this, would I best to get a sill tray made up for the cavity? House doesn't have any eaves and windows cop a fair bit of weather. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Cheers Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Window sill removal & flashing for decking 2Aug 31, 2021 11:34 pm You're over thinking it.
