The land is 400SQM (12.5M X 32M). Option 1 - Build a typical 20Squares house or so of typical 4 BHK house Option 2 - Build a Dual Key House of 25Squares where in a single house with 3 BHK and another with 1 BHK with the entrance to this 1 BHK would be from side. Under this Option 2 (which will cost me around 50K more than Option 1 ), I should be in a position to let it out the house to two families, thus giving me higher rental potential. This is not dual occupancy, but a dual key. Just wondering whether anybody had any experience with such kind of dual key homes. In general, while this looks good from rental perspective, I assume the additional 200 dollars per week may perhaps justify the additional 50K one time investment. But my doubt is say if I want to resell this house in the market, trying to understand the house under Option 1 is better or this? Thanks Your house should come in "as new" condition.
