I moved into my new home in 2013 & have been generally happy, however for the last couple of years I have been battling a persistent mould problem in my en-suite. It turns out that the tradie(s) did not put any sealant around the tap spindle (which is not evident as it's covered by a cap) in either shower, allowing water to drip through those gaps & build up & cause the ongoing mould problem. When I took this up with Blueprint I was told that they only guarantee the silicon for 12 months (even though Selleys give's a 25 year guarantee on their silicone - big diff!) & would not take any responsibility as it's now outside the building guarantee period. The only conclusion I can reach is that they use "less-capable tradies" who use inferior quality products to keep their costs down! So, my advice is to check your tap spindles to make sure they've been sealed & regularly replace the silicones. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
