About to start preparing a house for sale and would appreciate some advice about the exterior colours. The house has been clad in aluminium and we're unlikely to remove it. My idea is to paint the gable ends (currently a faded green) and also the mission brown verandah walls, door/window frames, front fence, and side gates. Would love to get some thoughts on what colours I might use? My preference is to leave the white 'weatherboard' cladding as the condition is reasonable, we have some time constraints, and if I paint that it would not blend well with the sides of the house. Love to hear thoughts from anyone! Any other colours could clash with the terracotta tiles, all white everything would be a simple fix. You could look for a grey approach with white trim, but this is again a tricky way to go about things and would require more painting than what is needed. The white walls might need a light pressure wash to refresh them, then what about a sandstone colour or navy blue on the gable ends and other trim etc? Both look really smart and fresh with terracotta and there's good colour in the garden although the Agapanthus would most likely be finished by the time you get it listed, but the green strappy leaves remain that way all year round and there are other flowers in the garden.
