Hi, anyone help shed light on how to get tree removal permit from Boroondara council? I have a pine tree pretty close to boundary fence and within 2m to my current house, what would be the best practical reason to apply for permit from this tricky council (my friend told me saying rebuild will not be a good reason)? i have checked council guidelines and the said pine tree should get permit before removal due to circumference.
do have any tradie can cut tree without permit? if any please message me, thanks.

I've lived in the same council for a while and have had large tree's removed. Do not cut a tree without a permit, they will come after you lol. Just google it, people get fined insane amounts. If you go there they have a satellite that shows the view on a day by day basis. Furthermore, the neighbours in this council are renowned for caring. Just have a legitimate excuse and get a legitimate permit. They won't let you cut it for building purposes if you are easily able to build on site without using the tree area. The process more intimidating than it seems, in reality they are actually quite reasonable. If you need any help PM me.
This is purely based on my experiences and your experience may differ.
