Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 22, 2021 10:26 pm For rest of the house we are thinking to use 600x600mm tiles but wondering how it looks like if we go 300x600mm tiles in bathrooms. Re: Size of bathroom iltes Vs rest of the house tiles 2May 23, 2021 12:04 am I think it depends on what the connection between bathrooms and the main area is like. I've gone for 600*600 in the main area and main bathroom and 450*450 (in a different tile) in the ensuite. The main bathroom flows from the main area so its essentially the same floor, whereas the ensuite is separated by a carpet section so i was less concerned about the size difference. In my parents place they went from 600*600 to a 400*400 and it looks fine. They have rectified tiles though so the grout is less noticable, whether that makes a difference i dunno. I'd probably just make sure if you're going to go from 600*600 to 300*600 that you make sure that the direction of the tiles is horizontal, not vertical in the doorway (if that makes sense) so you don't end up having the transition from the larger to smaller tiles having a grout line in the doorway.
