Basement garage ceiling question

Basement garage ceiling:
Is there any concern if we choose the metal bondek raw finish?
Does that look cheap work? Should negotiate with builder for any better option?
Any pros/cons?
Whats better option?

Thanks

yes thats a very cheap look IMO.

Bondek is just formwork that doesnt need removing but I dont think the creators ever intended that it be left exposed, but maybe they did. You often see it left exposed and just painted in the carparks of cheaper apartment blocks that are built to a tight budget, but personally I would sheet it in your own home.

anyway, have fun with your build

Thanks 👍

What do you mean by sheet it in?
You mean with same roof as house?

Sorry, by sheeting it I mean gyprock, paint, lights etc. Finish it like the rest of your house. It shouldnt cost much and will look like you have actually finished your build not cut corners

again just my opinion

How to remove ceiling air con vent?

General Discussion

How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity?
