Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 08, 2021 6:13 am We hear a lot about builders becoming insolvent or being deregistered but I would like to know what these ex registered builders do for work following these events. From what little I have seen, some work as site managers for other builders, others revert back to their original trade (eg. electrician, carpenter), and there is also an interesting group that become building inspectors, which I find very strange given one would think that if someone had a history of bad workmanship themselves, would they be qualified to be a building inspector? What do others think? Are there any other kinds of industries and work that ex builders end up doing after life as a registered builder?
