Do I call Body Corporate before or after investigating?

Hi all,

I just bought a place and since moving in there is significant cracking starting to show up - I've had a few people around to get an idea of what it COULD be but to move forward I'd need to pay for independent assessors.

I've been putting off calling body corp because I fear that they'll just tell me it's my fault and I need to fix it or figure it out, but what's the correct way of doing it?

Do I need to contact body corp and tell them I suspect the foundations are moving? WIth the expectation that they then get their independent assessors to investigate and diagnose the issue and fixes?

Or do I need to pay for independent assessors at my own expense to come up with an 'evidence' pack that body corp are to pay for fixing the issues?

Would love any advice you can give
Is this a unit? Or a house in a community title? A townhouse?

Where are you located? Where and what is cracking?

Pictures?
