Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 19, 2021 11:10 am Hi there, I would like some advice on a fence dispute I have with my neighbour. I have an empty block of land on a sloping area and I am about to start building a home with one of the builders. There is an existing timber fence. My neighbour is rejecting the protection works issued by the builder that proposed retaining wall(20cm from fence line ) is too close to his retaining wall( his wall on fence line and he didn’t engineer it to hold the fence he says) and future fencing is going to be difficult between 2 retaining walls. He wants me to have a galvanished fence post drilled in and timber post to be attached to it so that in the future we just need to change the timber post. He doesn’t want to pay for any of the cost and he wants me to pay for all the costs. Am I fully responsible for this cost? Any other ideas for future fencing between 2 retaining walls? Thanks for your help I am looking at building a house. Has anyone used Construkt Homes (based in Adelaide)? Does anyone have experience with this builder? 0 6450 12 5320 Industry type domestic contracts are prepared by industry bodies for the benefit of the builders.
