I am currently talking with builders and getting a feel for what i can afford to build. The main obstacle I have run into is the land I am purchasing is in a zone 4 transport noise corridor, I am wanting to build a two story on a narrow block. When talking with different building companies I have been give variations of estimates from $11K to $60K, however no one has really been confident with knowing what value to consider.
Does anyone have a rough price guide/estimate that I should be considering to allocate for costing to comply with the acoustic noise regulations for QLD?
