We are about to make decisions over the next week as to where we want to spend on upgrades.. anyone else choose to paint in one colour and do it yourself later? Re: Extra for white ceilings and door trim? 3Jan 29, 2021 1:27 am If you're building with a project builder they will be using (most likely) a cheap base paint. I would suggest if you spending on upgrades upgrade your paint brand. I would stipulate you want a sealer coat + a 3 coat system. Normal is a sealer plus 1 or 2 coats over the sealer. I would suggest you arrange for an inspector (yours) to be allowed to carry out a Pre-paint inspection! obviously this is before any paint goes on the wall, this way you can have ALL plaster/timber defects addressed prior to being covered up. If you get the base right the paint work will look quite good. We are Expert Consultant's, and we are here to help. 7 3009 Thanks mate. Yeah good points!
