Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 18, 2021 7:23 am G'day, thanks for taking a look at my dust problem. My house in built on stilts with most of the lower level consisting of original dirt next to my concreted garage. The entire lower level is enclosed, but only by 70mm timber palings, so the wind/ breeze passes through. I find that dirt and dust accumulate pretty badly in my garage. I assume much of it comes off the bare dirt next to it via the breeze. I would prefer not to have to "seal" the whole lower level. Is there a way that I can treat the dirt with something (chemical?) such that it doesn't make as much dust? Cheers Re: Dirt dust suppression in garage/ under house 3Jan 18, 2021 7:59 pm I suppose hydromulch might be close to what you are looking for-I'd still probably go with the suggestion above though. the leaves that are now underground go yellow, the tips that poke through photosynthesise and have chlorophyll, same reason they grow rhubarb in the dark. 5 4886 Yeah my reasoning is just that those house posts are designed for vertical load not lateral. I just didnt want to risk interfering with the existing house… 4 11548 you need to make an application to your local council for this as they are the approval authority for driveways cheers Simeon 1 7096 |
