Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 14, 2021 11:57 am Hello everyone, We've moved into my first home this week and am getting on with some maintenance. The windows in our garage (see 1st photo) have gaps between the wooden window frame and double brick wall/metal building frame. I've provided some more details about the gap sizes below. I need some guidance for the best way to fill these gaps to stop draughts and insects coming in. There is a 1-2cm gap between along the sides of the window (see second photo). Will Shellys No More Gaps do the job? There is a 5-10cm gap at the top of the window. Should I fill this will expanding foam, then cut/and it back so it's level with the frame? If so, do I need to paint/seal it? I heard it's flammable. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give, Andrew Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: How to fill gaps 2Feb 05, 2021 4:27 pm A hole of up to 8mm I would caulk, greater than that and I would use an infill to cover the gap, then maybe caulk to the brickwork.
