Henley Monaco 25 review? 3Mar 11, 2021 6:44 pm I am currently building with Henley, and the building experience so far hasn’t been satisfactory. The administration side is top notch; sad that can’t be said about actual build. Re: Fairhaven Riverview 26 review? Henley Monaco 25 review? 4Mar 26, 2021 1:54 pm alex95 Hey everyone! I'm just wondering if anyone has recently built with Fairhaven or Henley homes and would like to share their experience? My parter and i are both first home buyers and are fairly inexperienced when it comes to the process. We both really love the Riverview 26 house design by Fairhaven. Our current alternative is Henleys Monaco 25 as we also love the design but we feel that Henley offer the best "standard" inclusions compared to Fairhaven. Has anyone had the Riverview OR Monaco built before? Any advice about any of the process would be appreciated! Thank you all Hi! I'm a first home buyer too and picked Fairhaven mainly because they were able to "guarantee" the 15K home builder grant. I've just signed the contract and am building the Riverview 219 (smaller version of 266). So far my experience with Fairhaven has had its ups/downs. They have homes with good price points and I was happy with most of their inclusions. Although in saying this, I found in order to get a home I desired I did have to upgrade quite a few things because their "cat 1" inclusions in colour selection aren't that great. So in order to have things looking decent you will find yourself upgrading to the next category. My first choice was actually Porter Davis as I found their inclusions are more high end so you don't actually end up spending too much more than base price. When I compared both quotes, Fairhaven was actually more expensive with all the upgrades. Anyway, with Fairhaven I found they rushed most of the contract process probably for the sake of my grant. I also have a really junior customer relations officer which doesn't help in my case because I'm so new to all this. My advice is always ask heaps of questions and see drafts of contract/tender before signing the actual copy. Push for face to face tender and contract appointments as Fairhaven love to do everything through DocuSign without explaining anything. Good luck! Re: Fairhaven Riverview 26 review? Henley Monaco 25 review? 5Oct 21, 2021 5:26 pm Do Not Build With Fairhaven. We had several building managers during construction. The quality of the finish is ordinary at best. I would struggle to find one straight wall in the house. Several months after completion I had an electrician in to change some lights. He informed me there were several bags of insulation in the roof uninstalled. Shortly after that we noticed the grout in the ensuite starting to crack. I informed Fairhaven, they replied the size of the cracks did not classify as a defect. Since then the grout has continued to get worse, chunks have fallen out. Fairhaven say it is a owner maintenance issue. Now the tiles are moving in the ensuite. I have informed Fairhaven, they refuse to attend and emailed that as far as they are concerned the tiles were installed to Australian standards. I had another builder inspect the ensuite he stated the issue is poor installation or adhesive failure. So if you have problems with your tiles in the first five years, Fairhaven will wash there hands of any responsibility. Please do not Build with this company, you will regret it.
