Hi guys,
My girlfriend and I recently moved to new rental apartment.
It’s a rather strange apartment that has an enclosed balcony that has windows and a ceiling instead of being open-air (more like a patio). Essentially, if you close those windows, the entire balcony is basically “indoors” if that makes sense.
Since the balcony area is so huge, the owner decided to build an additional room on it but the ceiling doesn’t go all the way to the top (it’s more like a box).
Currently, the air conditioning in the living room is positioned in such a way that the cold air blows straight into that room as well, which is great. However, the hot air fan is stupidly facing that room so it blows hot air over the cold air going into that room.
All I need it a wall to block the hot air, but I still want access to that portion of the balcony area so I’m thinking something like a portable sliding door or foldable panels could do the trick? Since it’s a rental property I need to have a budget and can’t make any permanent modifications.
What do you guys think?
Hope the photos make sense:
