Please and thanks Re: Bored Pier cost 2Oct 08, 2020 9:16 am Hey bonnieDoon Welcome to the forum Most Battlers and punters can't read Engineering Drawings/Details That makes them a soft target for price gouging, sh0ddy workmanship, non compliance of alternate methods ,etc, etc Try putting up the plans, delete any references, copyright, etc The better the information you put up the better the answer + it also helps others Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Bored Pier cost 3Oct 09, 2020 9:15 am Hi BonnieDoon, To give you an idea, our build did not originally require piers but after the existing house and a few trees got demolished, a new soil report was done and our soil got downgraded to H2. We ended up requiring 47 piers at 450mm diameter and 2m deep. The cost for excavation, soil removal and extra concrete came to $16.5k. So approximately $350 per pier for us. Re: Bored Pier cost 4Oct 11, 2020 6:51 am Thanks so much Structual and key man. I will put up censored plans. Builders so busy here on Sunshine Coast, can’t even get a quote soon. I am exactly on the same boat! Class H1 on new subdivision lot with Level 1 certified fill, 47no 450dia bored piers up to 2000mm as recommended by soil report, builder has priced up slab+ bored piers+ spoil removal at $24k however! That's $510/pier! @StructuralBIMGuy- would appreciate your review Re: Bored Pier cost 6Dec 23, 2020 2:01 pm MBX3, keymans quote was without the slab ..."The cost for excavation, soil removal and extra concrete came to $16.5k. So, the pier foundation wasn't large enough on the side it was leaning towards, and the NBN cable went through the pier, just… 8 12130 Just be careful with building stability during construction, that is when the structure may be weakened, refer to your engineering drawings for stability methodology. 1 7231 |
