Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 07, 2020 9:57 am Morning all I am planning to get an electrician to come in and wire up our shed. There will be about a 10 metre run from the house to the shed and I plan on doing the trench and having it ready to make the sparkies job easier. I also need to run some drainage from the shed to a yard drain that I could make follow the exact same trench, hence reducing the excavation in my new turf. Question is - can I? Can a power cable (in conduit) and a drainage pipe (probably ag pipe in a sock) run in the same trench? (In Queensland if that matters). Cheers, Magpie. Re: Power and drainage in same trench?? 2Oct 09, 2020 6:10 am yes you can, you needs spacing between pipes but electrical will be below 500mm and you can lay the ag line just under the turf. Make sure there is marker tape at 300mm, the sparky will ensure this is done. 2 3525 Need more photos from around the house including your gutters. We have had 3 of the wettest years in a row for some time so that wouldn't be helping 3 5761 That's very helpful, thank you. I was mostly interested in knowing if a spoon drain requires a specific slope, but I appreciate the extra information. 4 3919 |
