Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 23, 2020 7:12 pm After the high humidity in SE QLD early this year, our bamboo floor became warped and cupped in a number of locations. Some cupping is so bad it’s still raised, and has pulled the skirting board off the wall, and the kitchen cabinet off the island bench. The flooring company, the installer and the builder are all blaming each other, the independent assessor said the cause could be from water in the slab. The builder says we should have 150ml of the slab left clear, and our landscaping has caused the problem. We have many photos that show the builder did not leave anywhere near 150ml of slab, in some places he put fill covering the entire side of the slab. My question is this - if we can prove the builder didn’t leave the slab clear, do we have any chance of getting him to pay for new flooring? Thanks.
