Hi all,
We have had ongoing issues with our house and we finally have a fix for an issue that has rendered part of a room useless to use.
The builder has asked us if they can grind down part of the slab as it isn't level, the slab was x rayed and the waffle is sitting 80mm below the surface. From my understanding the minimum thickness as per the VBA is 85mm of product on top of the waffle itself.
The builder wants to grind down up to 30mm to fix this bump, if the hump in the slab is at 80mm already too thin) and wants to remove 30mm that means there would only be 50mm of concrete slab remaining.
From what the VBA has advised the slab is already poured too thin and is deemed defective and requires a re-pour.
Anyone know or can help in this regard.
