Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Travertine 2Oct 04, 2008 3:49 pm I had a travertine dining table that weighed a tonne and marked very easily. I dont know much about it for walls, I have seen it as flooring. I would imagine it would cost a small fortune, it is a beautiful stone. Its a really soft stone as well so it can scratch easy.

I've seen the cheaper stuff and it is too busy for my taste. Its pretty easy to look after ... once a year application with sealer. Product is easy to apply and dries quickly. It is slightly more expensive to lay than tiles. I think it can look very good in the right house but make sure you get good quality ones. get them to replace the chipped tiles. It will stick out like a sore thumb overwise. Also tiler will be siliconing the miters rather than grouting. Grouted miters crack… 1 4043 |
