Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Land Inspection / advise 2Aug 22, 2020 9:58 am Hey goodtogo Welcome to the forum ![]() Anyone know people who offer land inspection services? Try a local geotech service for a site report A surveyor for the contour survey An engineer for the footing and slab design OT, Don't make the mistake in undervaluing the above services in your initial land assessment or you might end up paying $50K more to the builder. BTW...A free new home salesman site visit/advice/inspection is just that free advice->it has no contractual value. ![]() Some advise and fresh perspective from a consultant might be helpful. I am based in Sydney. Now there's a business opportunity for consultant advertising on Homeone Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Land Inspection / advise 3Aug 23, 2020 2:01 am Thank you for the welcome ![]() I am interested in a more of all round overview of the land. What problems are present, what could be etc. All the people you mentioned are useful for specific disciplines. A property consultant if you will. Re: Land Inspection / advise 4Aug 23, 2020 10:30 am In case you haven't noticed they were the first to be replaced by apps along with Car salesman, property data that they (salesman) sprook is readily available/accessible over the internet. If you couple that with Bim data you may have what you are looking for. OT rezoning, redevelopments, project optimisation, analysing alternate costs...it all out there and automated, etc Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Thanks for reply! I was thinking to get a building inspection as the first step. Will see how it goes..
