Thanks I think it can be different for different builders. Some do it before contracts others later. Mine is July 29th. so just under 3.5 months as well. Re: Welcome to WA ! 464Jul 19, 2009 7:09 pm camyperth Hi Can anyone tell about how long from when they signed up, to when they where given a pre start meeting. Thanks I signed my contract the end of Apr, got a pre-start end of May.. but I signed my PPA beginning of Mar.. it also depends on the builder I think and the workload at the time. My plans got sent to council after my pre-start... still not back yet, tho I'm just with a slow council where everyone wants to build at the same time. Although it doesn't really explain what each stage of the process is it still gives you the dates things have been approved etc... Not sure if Wanneroo would have something similar? Re: Welcome to WA ! 474Jul 20, 2009 3:14 pm locus Candylea I'm just with a slow council where everyone wants to build at the same time. City of Wanneroo? Nope, City of Cockburn... they have around an 8 week wait b4 anyone even looks at it apparently. gurlistar: howdy neighbour! I put mine in in April and didn't get told until July (when I called the shire!) that they weren't even going to give me one cause my house didn't comply. That's 3 months to let me know that I needed to re-do the application and resubmit. And it wasn't even our fault - the council didn't give us clear information and are apparently knocking heaps of people back. THe guy at the council admitted that they knew this, and kept it from us until the 'rules' were rewritten to be clearer. So I'd give them a call ASAP and ask what's going on if you're in that area.
