My privite inspection said my bricks work done like "a piece of ****" so my builder provide me one of them: A. Redo bricks work (take it down n do it again) B. Render the whole house(they said cost them 7,000) Actually, I don't have any preference so don't know how to decide. If you were me, which one u will take? Thanks a lot Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 451Oct 27, 2010 8:34 am ^You really have no preference?? I am surprised that properly rendering a whole house would only cost $7000. If there is no structural problem with your bricks and they are straight (otherwise rendering may not hide the issue), go the render. It will be waay faster than ripping down the walls and starting again. Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 452Oct 27, 2010 9:00 am I would go with rendering the whole house as well. Why? Well you never know what can happen with the structures inside the house when they take it down and do it again. Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 454Oct 27, 2010 2:22 pm ** On a different note to my fellow brimbank gardeners ** does anyone go /use a local place to fill up your bbq gas bottles. .. My old man uses a place near highpoint, the carwash on the bottom of maribyrnong rd , which is $22 bucks, but im wondering if there's anything closer to our area.... Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 455Oct 27, 2010 3:40 pm My house is 24.35q. single story for render cost them 7000.My inspector said both choose won't affect structure.
If I got a compensation,I might go for render, but they didn't mention that,so my feeling just like if you go for render, like I upgrade your house for you.Don't like the feeling at all.I am not hurry to move in,so I asked them to redone bricks. I'll give that a go in the next week or so . . well before melb cup anyways.. . * fruitty * Thanks. . Duno how i forgot about that gas filling station next to the train station . .lol.. i drive past it every morning.. I wasn't sure if they did any refilling there.. it appeared to me, that it was just a wholesale place - but I noticed a whole heap of 9kg bottles in cages. . so clearly they can fill them up there. * joeygbh* Thanks again, I will check them out later, I'll presume they will be the best option in terms of availability after 5pm . .or during the main work hours. etc etc. do you know how much they charge to fill a 9kg bottle.. Just called them for you: $29.90, so a bit more expensive (~35%), but they'll do in a pinch I guess. I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports… 2 5124 |
