Ok so the instant house just add water is going well. Thingsthat i have learnt in the past few weeks - 1. If you have site managers changed on you, make sure the new guy is informed. Call them your self and make sure. 2. Get **** in writing, if you have a "oh for F%$Ks sake i forgot moment" call everyone you need to then follow that up in writing. You will make your life longer and easier. 3. Give a little and get a very happy crew on your site, true it does not hurt to be a good egg and show up with some random beers or food for the lads on site. Karma works on this. So just waiting on the tiles and paint then final fit off for the sparkie and it's all done, hope to be in before the long weekend in june. Then i get the 30 daysof landscape, render and drive to DIY - i may be in pain by july. Well the NHP price was about $7k over the initial quote, It seems Tony at Kawana was badly misinformed about what Plantation can and cant do! but after a few heated discussions at the desk of the Plantation office we have managed to reduce that again. We now are booked in for the contract and colours on the 29th May. The bank has also moved to unconditional lending now so thats a plus! We wanted to supply and install our own Air-con as I work in the industry and can do this for less than half the quoted price of $13k!!! they were hesitant about allowing this but in the end have let us do it. We will also probably pull the concrete and render out post contract. I see still no start to yours yet do you know when they are going to get going? Re: Bellflower Estate - Sippy Downs 45May 11, 2009 4:29 pm We're building with Plantation and were horrified with there rendering costs and are doing ours after handover. $7k for a double story house and $4k to paint! They didn't have any problem at all supplying our own ducted aircon either. I had no trouble whatsoever getting them to let Actron do the A/C. Did you have to produce your BSA ticket? I was doing MORE sums last night and now just in the process of trying to obtain quotes for concrete, render ect. Can anyone suggest a renderer? It will be interesting to see what stage you are at when they finally get started on our place, we are building a lowset so it could make for an interseting race if you are building double storey! Out of interest what size A/C did Actron quote you on and how many zones? Re: Bellflower Estate - Sippy Downs 49May 12, 2009 9:54 am Benny sataymas Hey Benny who you building with? Re: Bellflower Estate - Sippy Downs 50May 12, 2009 7:42 pm sataymas Out of interest what size A/C did Actron quote you on and how many zones? 17.7kw, single phase, 8 zones - the Ultima ’’Quondo Omni Flunkus Mortati ’’ If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. Stila BK1 Build Thread The best place to talk about sport Re: Bellflower Estate - Sippy Downs 51May 12, 2009 11:40 pm I got similar to Serge, although the 3 Phase 18.9kw Ultima for $16.6k for 8 zones, 13 outlets and 2 master controllers. I had to haggle alot though to get it for this price though! No start yet but any day now the scraping will start. - probably next week at earliest Our biggest problem was that our block has accoustic requirements and part of that was installing Air-con, so naturally for handover to occour the constructon had to comply with those regulations. So plantation was hesitant to allow it to be in our control. to give you an idea of saving Plantation costed 14.4kw ducted at $12,896.00 with 3 zones, I can purchase (through work) 14.6kw with 6 zones and slave/master control and install for $5,000.00 and thats being generous. Also by pulling out concrete and render we can save about $11k.Speaking of that can anyone recommend a decent concreter for a quote? Re: Bellflower Estate - Sippy Downs 53May 13, 2009 4:16 pm Gester - what date was that quote? PM contact details too if possible Sataymas - I think Benny is arranging his own rendering.... You don't have to be the best at it as the instructions are very clear and it doesn't have to be too thick about 6mm. Because it's DIY it will take me about 2 weeks to do maybe more but it will be done in the 30 days post handover. Along with the driveway which the father in law is doing for me, i suck at exposed ag. sataymas Benny sataymas Hey Benny who you building with? I been thinkin bout doin the Render myself as I have done it before aswell but Im just not sure wether or not I can get a finish that I will be happy with. depends on how easy that Q render is to use, I havent used it before. But Im definitley not doing any concrete I hate that sh*t. I noticed soemone said Tony was misinformed about some stuff. Would it possible to tell me what the differences were? Also where do we have to go for the colour apptment and NHP? A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time. If the… 1 14454 |
