My partner and I are also building with New Generation (Summit) Homes. We've gone with the Domain (But have changed a fair bit so it's almost exactly the same as the Boston display home style)... we've just signed off our PPA! VERY EXCITING! We've bought a block in Vertu Estate, 567sqm, we love it there so can't wait until its all built and we can move in! Though that does seem like an eternity away. We've just put our Mortgage application through with our Mortgage Broker so will be spending the next two weeks fairly sleepless, me thinks! OK then... let the good times roll! Re: Welcome to WA ! 384Jun 02, 2009 11:32 am Vertu is a very nice estate. When I was buying my block I looked at Vertu but back then (late 2007) Vertu was out of my price range, all the blocks they had available at that time were over $300 000 and we not very big. But I noticed Stocklands now has larger blocks available at a very good price. Built with Commodore Homes - The Fusion completed April 2009 (with modifications) Yes I have moved! It's in their Promo range. We signed up just b4 it was to get a price rise. They had an ad in the paper a month back I think and they had added stuff like dishwasher and rangehood.. but basically the price rise takes care of that. Are you willing to share who your friend is? My consultant is Brian, I assume yours is Nick? Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! Re: Welcome to WA ! 391Jun 03, 2009 10:00 am Oh, thanks for your lovely welcomes! Yes, Vertu is a beautiful Estate... well we thinks so anyway! Yep, its just behind Canning Vale, but its actually called Harrisdale now. (I believe Forrestdale was split into Harrisdale and Piara Waters? Correct me if I'm wrong!) Candylea- you're right the Boston and Domain are almost exactly the same. We added in the wall stack in the kitchen and the half-high wall behind the kitchen sink as per the Boston kitchen as the Domain didn't offer those and we really liked the display home kitchen. We've also added in some windows and raised the roof etc so its a bit more to our liking. It was cheaper for us to do it this way rather than just buying the Boston as is. We also have a friend who works for Summit and he is going to be our site supervisor, which is the main reason we're building with them as we know he'll make sure we're looked after. Our Sales Consultant is Kim, but we did meet Nick too. He was at the Kooper display home, which we really liked also! There seems to be loads of people buying around the Forrestdale/Harrisdale/Piara Waters area! Good to know that our neighbours are going to be the smart people who know to chat on here! Hahaha... My partner and I are building in Carramar with SPH. We got a letter from the builder yesterday saying that the site survey and soil report have been received, now we have a 7 week wait while the drafting department draws up plans etc. I can't wait until this bit is finished and we can book our pre-start... fingers crossed everything goes to plan! New beginnings. Re: Welcome to WA ! 394Jun 03, 2009 1:00 pm McBecks Oh, thanks for your lovely welcomes! Yes, Vertu is a beautiful Estate... well we thinks so anyway!
