So sorry to hear... hope you find something better soon Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda Villages 1448Dec 17, 2009 8:35 pm I'm not too worried about it at this stage, just a bit of shock is all. Another company is taking over, so they will need most of us. The scenario is a bit different from others that you hear about. Company A had the contract first but once the contract finished they lost the bid to company B. Company B (the current one that fired us) has now after 12 months withdrawn from the contract cos it's not financially viable. Company A is back for another 27 months and then it will all begin again Question is, who will company A keep? Hopefully I will find out tomorrow. Anyways, any "good" news in Mernda? ...any jobs available? Contracted completion date 24 July 2010. What's today's date????? Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda Villages 1455Dec 20, 2009 12:08 am House-To-Be WBA what seed did you use? your lawn is looking awesome! Just had to go and check the empty containers in the garage.. one was Fine Couch and the other was Buffalo.. one of them went out the front and the other out the back.. I think it was the Fine Couch out the front.. but I'm not sure.. my dad is the chief landscaper! Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda Villages 1456Dec 20, 2009 12:36 pm The lawn is looking great - you've been very lucky with the weather! Perhaps you could consider adding a path of step stone pavers along where you walk? Lawn is never going to grow well in a high traffic area. Something like this, using pavers to match your pool paving: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ House-To-Be The night animals have eaten all but two of my Limelight's and are now nibbling on my Michelia Figo's I'm going to move the M/Figo's up near the front door but need to replant in my front garden bed. Do any of you have some suggestions to fill the space? I don't want a hedge. Would still like the Limelights but maybe I'll have to buy bigger ones Have you seen the culprits? Possums, maybe? We haven't had any problems with animals, just the usual caterpillars etc. I wonder if there's something you can use as a deterrent.... Perhaps ask at the nursery if there are plants they can recommend that possums don't like. House-To-Be 12 months ago today we had handover. Kids and I picked up our keys and came here with a hot chicken, fresh bread and hot chips, sat on large tins of paint and render and put up our redi shades and didn't want to leave (even though we had no flooring in). We've come along way in 12 months - thank goodness!!! I remember saying, in 12 months time, we'll have this and this and this and now we are here. It's gone by quick! The year went fast, didn't it? You've achieved a lot too - the house is looking great. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Nah, I just wanted to scope out prices and the like and good thing I didn't buy anything as I have been given a gift voucher to there for Christmas! YaY!!
