What has been your experience with this?
Thanks z

Now I've heard that builders use black PVC piping and run it through walls and over ceilings. My worry is that when i build that these will explode or deteriorate in time due to the very low temps in the Southern Highlands and flooding and water damage comes to be a major problem What has been your experience with this? Thanks z Re: Running Water Pipes through slabs and ceilings 2Jul 13, 2012 6:41 am I think the modern tube you are thinking opf is a product like Rehau, which is high density cross linked polythene. So what does that all mean? Pretty tough stuff. I would find something else to worry about before concerns of exploding pipoes. @builderforlife Building inspector and passionate about construction When you need an expert to take a look. Re: Running Water Pipes through slabs and ceilings 3Jul 13, 2012 3:24 pm Hi Builderforlife, thank you for your quick reply. This is such a relief. I saw a house built a few years ago and the water pipes were nothing more than what I'd use for irrigating the garden bed, the connections were even the same . I was horrified. I'm relieved now that they are better quality. Out of curiosity, do these pipes have problems with rats or possums being able to chew through them easily? We have bush rats here that can chew through concrete, just about. Thanks z DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair im not convinced that its coming through the door.
