Cost of driveway

We are putting in an exposed aggregate driveway 5 metres wide x 7 metres and we have had quotes ranging from $4,500 to $8,000??

Whats normal??

I think somewhere around the 5-6k mark is about average for a driveway...but it does all depend on size, type (exposed, stenciled..) etc.

So the 8k quote sounds pretty high...but I guess your lucky you shopped around

$100sqm.

5 x 7 = $3500..

I would def eb expecting it around the 4,500 mark..

We were quoted coloured concrete for our driveway + surrounding paths to the house.
82 sqm - $6,800. (This was an expensive company too)

Aggregate would be slightly more expensive but.

hmm, the 4.5k sounds a bit more reasonable ...given it's just your driveway. .
are you getting anything else done ?

If it's exposed aggregate, have they given you a choice of finishes , or it's just how we do it..

I can't imagine how you would've been quoted 8k , guessing they just didn't want the job.
