Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 20, 2008 2:10 pm We have timber skirting boards and door frames that we plan to paint over the Easter weekend.. What sort of preparation is best to clean them before painting? We are using an undercoat of course first, but to get rid of dust (and loads of fur from a very fluffy cat) is it best to just dust, use wet cloth, sugar soap etc?? If they are meranti (pacific maple) you'll find the grain shows through the paint. Building Standards; Getting It Right! Is this acceptable in a new house build. Floors where installed by builder. Already chips in board and skirting is not flush 0 864 I'm about to put down some Merbau. Is it necessary to oil underneath the boards before laying? 0 2711 |
