Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 23, 2010 5:29 pm Hi, I've got a vermiculite ceiling I'd like to have plastered over. Does anyone know a ballpark figure for the going rate per square metre inluding labour? I'm understand it varies and there can be extras depending on the job, but just a rough idea would help. I'm in Victoria. Thanks Re: Rough cost per m2 to plaster a celing 5Apr 11, 2010 9:49 am Hi, it's a concrete slab ceiling, vermiculite is on the ceiling only. There are apartments above me, so ramset guns might not be allowed for fixing channels? Ceiling is 2550 high. 70 m2. Cheers. You have plenty of room to install a false ceiling at 2550, cheapest way would be to go direct fix on furring channels @600mm centres-there is an adjustable fixing clip available which is fixed @1200mm centres with drilled masonry anchors (heaps of different ones) and should only drop the ceiling about 50mm with sheeting, allow about $70 per sqm tops??, materials should only be about $20-25psqm-depends on the ease of access and fiddly areas--obviously larger open or square areas are much easier. Make sure you only use ceiling fixers to do the job, there will be ceiling outlets around--go there with your plan, they will set you right. 1) I had requested R6 ceiling insualtion batts, however I noticed that on some areas there are huge gaps which will allow hot air to sweep in, and also noticed black/grey… 0 5037 Hi, Have used the Dulux 1 step, oil base on my walls(white set), out of can it’s already a more thinner product than a final coat paint Also in water base Water or… 3 5464 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 5562 |
