Hi,
After my build, I hired the builder's electrical contractor to hang pendant lights at my home.
After 2.5 years I noticed some of the pendant lights started sagging. I went into the manhole I found that each light is only suspended using single electrical wiring. I was expecting they were hung from a joist given they are between 5-10 kg.
I am concerned about how they are mounted and the safety risk to my family if they fall down.
I will contact the contractor but concerned they will brush it off since it has been years; so I want to prepare myself with information first.
My questions are:
1. Who would be able to tell me whether what they've done is legal/according to code? Or is there some code document I can read up?
2. If they are not willing to fix the issue or refund, what is the next step for me? e.g. complaint through tribunal, industry body etc?
I have itemised tax receipts for their work but no other document.
Picture of one of the pendant light mounting is at the link below. The green/yellow earth cable is the one used to hang the light.

I am in Perth, Western Australia.
Thank you.
p/s: They also installed the garden bollard lights. Part of the wiring is not in a conduit and essentially just plain wiring in the ground.
