Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 23, 2016 12:30 pm Hi - I am looking for tips on how to stabilize the sloping soil underneath the back of my highset Queensland. Everytime it rains, more of the clay soil gets washed down and I am concerned that eventually it will weaken the house stumps at the top of the slope. I have seen articles on using soil cement to do slope stabilisation and was wondering if anybody has used this method. If so how was it applied? What was the mixture used? What was done to help drainage? What other solutions have people used to overcome this problem? Must be somewhat common in Queensland. Have been in my house for a couple of years and this year the clay soil seems more mobile than last year on this slope. All suggestions, comments etc will be very welcomed. Hope someone can help Regards Alan Re: STABILIZING SLOPING CLAY UNDER HIGHSET QUEENSLANDER 2Jun 28, 2016 1:47 pm Probably a drainage issue more than something that you need to specifically stabilise - but I think you should speak to an engineer and get some options rather than guessing, especially if you're worried the erosion might be bad enough to adversely effect your footings.
