I think it may be a little bit excessive. He is quoting $1465 for the following. * INSTALL NEW COOKTOP TO WORK BENCH AND CONNECT TO EXISTING CABLE * INSTALL WALL OVEN TO APERTURE PROVIDED AND CONNECT TO EXISTING CABLE * CUT CEILING AND FIT 10 DOWNLIGHT TO EXISTING CABLES * INSTALL BAR LIGHT TO CEILING AND CONNECT TO EXISTING CABLE * INSTALL 3 IN 1 UNIT WITH 4 HEAT LAMPS. CONNECT LIGHT TO EXISTING CABLE. WIRE HEAT SWITCHES AND EXHAUST FANS TO NEW CONTROL Thanks in advance Katherine Seems very cheap, sounds like he has forgot something, best to remind him. Silly post... if anyone has a problem with a price, get some more quotes... how on earth do you expect some people on the net to help you??? It's not their money on the line. I charged $2400 for 3 Foxtel points a while back... sound expensive??? Well it took 3 men 4 days to complete plus materials... Thats what happens when you have a $4.8Million doller home with 400mm thick solid walls and a slate roof that you can not climb on.... Had to show no conduits and no cables.... So with that as a comparison, all your work for a lazy $1450 seems very cheap. Re: Electrical Quote Excessive?? 13Jul 03, 2010 10:46 pm ^ Very helpful Salty_Dog... I hope the folks on homeone are just as obliging should you need some advice in the future. So with that as a comparison, all your work for a lazy $1450 seems very cheap. Apples and oranges. Your job, $2400/3/4 = $200 per man, per day minus materials/overheads vs $100 - $150 per HOUR for one to one and a half day's work by a single sparky since all the electrical runs are already done and in place. It seems a little high, just keep looking for quotes, try your local paper, you'll find some smaller outfits that way that might have more time. hey there! π so, itβs kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 21546 I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14756 I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$. Internet suggested it should be $85-100/m2 to lay them.… 3 13220 |
