Warm White or Cool White

I have found some GU10 CFL downlights that I like. They come with a 13W globe. I have a choice of either warm white (2700k) or cool white (4000k)

I've been told cool white should be used for kitchens and hallways and warm white for family rooms and lounge rooms.

But we have a combined kitchen/family room. So not sure which globes to go for. Should I get a combination of both globes?
